This month our preschool kids will start a tradition of taking home something special that they can use to tell you the memory verse. I hope you have fun listening to the verse!
This past week our school-aged children continued their Bible Study on Nehemiah, and the example he set for taking initiative.
The bonus lesson was about self control, the first fruit of the spirit we are studying this year. The kids have to move the cookie down their face and into their mouths. It required a lot of self control, and the end result was yummy!
Here is September’s homework:
Read: “Gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:23
Ask: How does self control help us to be more like Jesus? How can each of us improve in the area of self control?
Play: Use a cracker or cookie……whatever you have,
Do: Take a picture and send it to me by October 15th so I can put it in the end of the year drawing,
Don’t forget to check out the Parent Resource Center. “The greatest calling of the church and the home is to lead our sons and daughters into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.” Reggie Joiner
