New to Northern VA – Getting Started

On behalf of Fairfax Circle Church, welcome to Northern Virginia. Moving to a new area can be both stressful and challenging for a person or family. We hope this page will help make your transition into the community a little easier. Feel free to contact our office with any questions you may have as you begin this journey.

Getting Started

Housing:

One of the first things you’ll need to do is find a place to live. Below are some links to real estate and rental organizations to assist you in your search.

Utilities:

Once you’ve found just the right place to live, heat, water, internet and TV will probably be next on your list. Below is the contact information for the Northern Virginia utility companies.

Local Government Websites:

School Systems:

If you have children, schools are obviously very important to you and your family. Northern Virginia not only has some of the best public schools in the country, it is also home to many great private schools. We pray that your family finds just the right environment for your child to excel.

Drivers License, Tags and Registration Information:

If you don’t already have a Virginia driver’s license visit the state DMV website: http://www.dmv.state.va.us. You will also need to register your car with Fairfax County or your city, if you live within city limits.

Churches:

The Northern Virginia area is blessed with many great churches that truly desire to see their members grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Obviously, we believe we are one of those churches, but our ultimate desire is that you find the right church for you and your family. Our hope is that your family will find the love and support it needs through a local church body. Here is a link to our church as well as a search link that lists additional local churches:
