SUMMARY:Lake Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Our annual Lake Retreat is August 5-8! The Lake Retreat is on Lake Gaston in North Carolina at a member’s lake house. The weekend includes water fun (tubing\, swimming\, kayaking\, splash competition\, etc)\, spiritual enrichment (devotionals and quiet times)\, and lots of late food\, games\, and movies.\n\nThis is the first event our upcoming 7th Graders are eligible to attend and the last event our graduating 12th graders attend as students. So\, don’t let your student miss out on the best event of the year! RSVP by July 10. The cost is $35 per student (scholarships available).

DESCRIPTION:All Night Hangout is Friday\, July 22. This event will start late in the evening (time and start location TBD soon) and end at 8:00am Saturday morning at Lex‘s home. The evening will include closing down Dave and Buster’s\, a movie\, some junk food\, and other fun hangout activities. This event is a miniature lock-in\, essentially. DESCRIPTION:Join us the week of June 13th for Camp Compassion/Animal Edition!  This fun filled\, Bible based camp will allow us to understand why God wants us to be compassionate\, as well as how we can be compassionate to our families\, our community and our world! \nCamp will include a track of active global games!  There will also be a craft track which will result in an art sale at the end of camp to raise money for an animal shelter.  Our animal theme will include a wild bird show\, a petting zoo\, a pet blessing and more! \nCost for camp is $15.00. \n  \nFor more information and registration click here!

SUMMARY:Prayer Hike -Student Ministry
DESCRIPTION:Have your student worship and enjoy the outdoors during a prayer hike in April. Right after Sunday morning worship on April 10 we will head to Virginia’s Great Falls for a prayer hike\, scavenger hunt\, and picnic. A prayer hike is the same thing as a prayer walk except it’s out in nature. Your students will be guided with prompts to pray\, meditate\, and reflect on Jesus. Also\, the winner of the scavenger wins a prize. Lastly\, the picnic is BYOLunch. So please send your student with a brown bag lunch. This event is free. So\, please RSVP by THIS Sunday\, February 13 and we’ll do our best to secure tickets for the time we’re advertising.\n\nWe anticipate seeing this movie at Cinemark Fairfax Corner on Sunday\, March 6\, at 4:30pm. Cost is $17 per student; bring cash or pay online ahead of time. Pickup and drop-off is at the theater; no carpooling.\n\nThe movie is rated Rated PG-13\, is 2 hours 55 minutes long\, and the theater does not require masks. So please consider if this movie is appropriate for your student before signing up.

SUMMARY:Treetop Ropes Course~ Student Ministry
DESCRIPTION:Join us on a treetop ropes course on Saturday\, September 18\, at 3:00pm at South Run RECenter in Springfield\, VA! The cost is $45 per student (as always\, scholarships available). Please RSVP by September 4 and fill out the online waiver. \n \nStudents of all ages\, strengths and athletic ability should be able to complete the course. However\, for the safety of each participant the minimum height is 4 foot 7 inches and the maximum weight is 285lbs. Your student must wear closed-toed\, closed-heeled shoes. They also must bring a mask for non-climbing moments and gloves for the treetop course (any gloves will do: construction\, gardening\, climbing\, weight lifting\, etc.).\n\nRSVP HERE!
