SUMMARY:Building for Hope Cohort
DESCRIPTION:Building for Hope guides congregations through the process of repurposing underutilized facilities and other physical assets to advance their mission and meet community needs. \nThroughout our church’s history\, we’ve had seasons when we intentionally focused on planning for the future. Looking back\, we can see how God did incredible things in and through our church during those times. We believe we may be entering another one of those seasons\, and we invite our entire church community to be part of the journey as we explore what the future might hold. \nOn Saturday\, October 31\, at 9:30 AM\, we’ll host a church-wide meeting with leaders from Building for Hope. They’ll introduce the process\, explain what the journey looks like\, answer questions\, and help us begin exploring the possibilities for our church’s future. During this meeting\, Building for Hope leaders will: \n\nExplain the journey and what we can expect along the way\nAnswer questions and address concerns\nHelp us begin the discovery process\nShare how we can move forward together as a church\n\nPlease click here to sign up. Everyone is welcome\, and we hope you’ll join us as we take this exciting first step together!

SUMMARY:Meal Pack
DESCRIPTION:Volunteers hand-pack the meals\n2-hour shifts all weekend long\nMeals donated around the world.\nKids are fed and lives are saved!\n\nWe’re excited to be hosting another MealPack for Feed My Starving Children! This year’s MealPack will be the weekend of NOVEMBER 7-8. There are a variety of ways to help including signing up to pack\, help with things behind the scenes or by simply donating to the cause. \nThere are many “behind the scenes” volunteer needs for Feed My Starving Children Meal Pack. This is not the sign up to pack meals but to do the non-meal-packing jobs needed to run the event. If you have any questions you can contact Melissa Bowhay at moebow@yahoo.com. Click here to signup! \n*Packing registration is full but there are “behind the scenes” slots still available. \n  \nFeed My Starving Children\nHope begins with nutritious food. At least 6\,200 children die each day from hunger-related causes. Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian non-profit organization committed to feeding God’s starving children hungry in body and spirit. We partner with FMSC to bring this meal pack event to our own community. That way we can work alongside our neighbors to help change the world\, one child at a time. Here’s a link to a great video from a meal pack event 2016 so you can check out what it will be like.
