We’re getting ready to start a new semester of small groups and we’ve got some really great topics. We also have a new and easier way to view the description for each group and to sign up. You can check that out with this link, on our mobile app or on the small group page on our website.
Here are a few reasons I think you should connect with a small group:
- It’s a great way to meet people. Whether you’ve been around for a while or just checking us out, there are lots of folks to meet and small groups are a great way to do that.
- It’s one of the best ways to learn and discuss spiritual matters. While Sunday mornings are good teaching/learning environments, they lack some of the things that small group allow for. They allow a back and forth discussion, questions and an opportunity to share things you’ve learned along the way. As we sometimes say, “circles really are better than rows.”
- It’s the best way to care for each other. We’re all wired to need others in our lives because we all have ups and downs. A small group is uniquely positioned to help you celebrate the great times and help you navigate the difficulties. And doing life with other, like-minded people really makes it a lot more fun.
- It’s a great way to find a place to serve. Most of the people who lead and serve in the ministries, events and programs of our church are in small groups. They love what they do and usually find ways to share about it in their groups. Along the way you might bump into someone who is serving in a way that interests you and that will be an opportunity to jump in yourself.
Like I said, all of the groups for this semester are covering some really great topics. And each of the groups will be full of friendly welcoming people, so check one of them out this semester. You’ll be glad you did.
See you Sunday,
