What an incredible weekend we had at our Meal Pack. In two days we packed 109,512 meals that will go to children who desperately need them all around the world. That many meals will feed 300 kids, one meal per day for a year!
We’re still working on the final numbers but we had almost 700 volunteer spots filled and over 80 people from our church volunteer behind the scenes. So many folks expressed thanks to us for allowing them to come and be a part of making the world a better place.
Thank you to everyone who made this ministry possible. A special thanks to our leadership teams who guided the process and made sure we were prepared; many of them spent 11 hours on campus Saturday and another 8-9 hours on Sunday.
Thanks to everyone who served, who packed, who invited people and who stayed home with kids and grandkids so others could serve. You all have a part in what God did in our church, community and what He will do in children’s lives.
We have lots of pictures and videos up on social media so you can see much of what went on. We also had a local new team who did a story on our event. You can check that out here.
It’s so great to be a part of a church that cares about the world around it and is willing to give in some many ways to share the love of God. Our team is already making plans for our next Meal Pack, but for now we’ll shift gears to our Hypothermia Response Ministry which is coming up in March. More about that soon.
See you Sunday,
