Intro to Fairfax Circle class coming

Since we missed last Sunday due to the snowstorm I want to give you some information about a couple of things that we were going to highlight during worship last week.

First, on Sunday, January 27, 5:30-7:00 pm we will be having our Introduction to Fairfax Circle class. We offer this class a couple of times a year as an introduction to our church to our newest folks.

During the class we cover some of the frequently asked questions about our church, including our mission and values, our leadership structure, vision and strategic objectives, beliefs and membership. If you’ve never attended this class we’d love to have you join us. You can sign up here. Childcare is available.

Second, I want to remind you that our Meal Pack with Feed My Starving Children is getting closer and closer. It’s Saturday and Sunday, Feb 9 & 10.

Here are three ways you can participate:

  • Pray. We want to cover this event with lots of prayer so please pray for our team that is leading us, for the resources and volunteers we need, for the children and organizations that will receive the meal and for Feed My Starving Children. You can also join the prayer team and receive specific things to pray for along the way.
  • This is an “all hands on deck” event and will need lots of behind the scenes volunteers. We need people to pack meals but we especially hope that our church family will help with things like hospitality at the meal pack shifts, setup and take down logistics. Click here to sign up to serve behind the scenes.
  • Sign up to pack meals and invite others to join us. This event is bigger than our church, which means we’re inviting the community to help us. Invite the people you know, coworkers, neighbors, friends and family to join us as we pack the meals. Here’s the link to sign up for one or more of the packing shifts.

I hope to see you this Sunday as we continue to talk about both of these things that are coming up and as we continue the series we started two weeks ago, All We Need Is Love.

See you Sunday,
David
