Find Community. Be Inspired. Change the World
Fairfax Circle isn’t about buildings or sermons or songs. It’s about people. Our small groups are where people become each other’s community and family. They're there to help pick you up when you’re down and inspire you to grow as a person and grow closer to God. A small group is a weekly gathering of people who meet in a home to study the Bible, pray and share one another’s experiences.
All of our small groups will meet online this semester using the Zoom platform. Winter 2021 classes will begin on January 31st. If you have any questions contact us at email@example.com.

I Think You're Wrong (But I'm Listening) - Part Two
Friday at 8:15pm
Facilitator: Melissa Bowhay
We have summaries of Part One and we'll do a refresher for session one so feel free to join even if you didn't attend Part One! In I Think You’re Wrong (But I’m Listening), two working moms from opposite ends of the political spectrum contend that there is a better way. They believe that we can
- choose to respect the dignity of every person,
- choose to recognize that issues are nuanced and can’t be reduced to political talking points,
- choose to listen in order to understand,
- choose gentleness and patience.
Sarah from the left and Beth from the right invite those looking for something better than the status quo to pull up a chair and listen to the principles, insights, and practical tools they have learned hosting their fast-growing podcast Pantsuit Politics. As impossible as it might seem, people from opposing political perspectives truly can have calm, grace-filled conversations with one another—by putting relationship before policy and understanding before argument.
A Study in Zechariah
Sunday at 5:00pm
Facilitator: Mike Byman
Zechariah is one of the minor prophets of the Old Testament, but he doesn’t have a minor message!
Zechariah encouraged the people of Israel, as they struggled to rebuild the Temple after the Babylonian captivity, but his message looked beyond the immediate challenge of his day to Jesus the Messiah. We will focus on passages in Zechariah that the New Testament writers quote and those that help us understand God’s message of grace. Did you know that Jesus’ triumphal entry and Judas’ betrayal of Christ are both prophesied in Zechariah? Or that Zechariah describes how we can be clothed in the righteousness of Christ?
Join us at 5PM on Sunday evenings to share, pray, and then read and discuss passages from Zechariah. We’ll send out discussion questions in advance for those who want to think about the questions before the lesson, but there is no required homework!
